Panchakanya Agriculture Cooperative Limited
Financial Performance

Panchakanya Agriculture Cooperative is heavily reliant on grants to support their operations. They have done a good job to date of managing to their budget and ending each year with positive net income; careful management Panchakanya of grant monies appears critical given intermittency in donated revenue. One very positive note is that assets and equity have more than doubled in the past three years, which includes land acquisition in year two. Income from operations grew in 2007 which is also a strong signal that the Cooperative may be able to look to operational income as an additional source of funding in years to come. Assuming grant funding can continue to be secured, the Cooperative appears to be in a solid position to grow.
